==============

It has been a year since tighter regulations were implemented last June by the Japanese government regarding the discounting of liquor.
This was originally aiming to protect mid-and-small-sized liquor shops from their competitors such as big national chain supermarkets and drag stores that sell alcoholic drinks with ignoring their profits in order to keep their vast shares on their shelves first.
Unfortunately, however, consumers have decided to drink less beers than before because of their higher prices. Thus, nobody benefited from this government's taxations on cheap alcoholic products.

Price of beers should not be raised as they are people's ultimate relaxation.

Emerging markets have been jolted these days. This is because outflow of capital from countries such as Turkey and Argentine has been increasing due to appreciation of the US dollar caused by the rate hike by the Federal Reserve.
So, those emerging countries, which do not have sound fiscal and external balances, have been targeted by investors who are concerned about their expanding debts in the US dollar, which will result in huge damage to all of the emerging markets’ economy.

Emerging markets are always emerging markets.

Consultations about difficulties on subleasing real estate contracts have been increasing. Those contracts are popular for apartment investments but there is a lot of investors that do not understand how it works and the risks associated with such a complicated scheme.
======
The key element of the subleasing is how the contract counterpart is creditworthy. Same as usual business. But, it might not last for thirty years, which seems unsustainable.

U.S.'s big 3 investment banks such as Goldman Sachs, Citigroup and Morgan Stanley, are the advisers for Shire Plc., who are dealing with Takeda Pharmaceutical's acquisition of the Irish global drug company.
In M&A deals, advising the seller is much more profitable than doing so the buyer since the advisers can make money without fail unless the deal is cancelled.

Back in the late 80s, Toyota's Celsior gained great popularity in Japan and the US, to the point where supply could not keep up with demand. As a result, Mercedes and BMW were horrified and could not help seeing Toyota's strongholds.
After Celsior's success, Mercedes added the latest model 400E with V8 engine for its medium class range. This was clearly targeted at Celsior buyers in order to cut into the popularity of Toyota’s flagship car.
======
Celsior, which is Lexus now, is not bad anyway. I want to drive it.
